Library Management

The Library (/library) is where all your classified audience topics live. It provides a powerful table interface for browsing, filtering, sorting, and managing your organization's taxonomy. From here you can inspect individual topic classifications, view DSP segment names, review audit history, and perform bulk operations like reclassification, deletion, and CSV export.

Table View

The Library displays your topics in a paginated table. Each row represents a single classified topic with the following columns:

ColumnDescription
CheckboxSelect topics for bulk actions
Topic NameThe primary name of the audience segment
Taxonomy TypeOne of 13 top-level groups (e.g., "Technology & Telecom")
Parent CategoryOne of 41 specialized categories (e.g., "Business Technology")
SubcategoryMore specific classification within the parent category
Segment TypeB2B, B2C, B2B2C, B2E, or B2G
IntensityThe intensity level with color indicator
Composite ScoreThe 0--100 composite score with interpretation label
Engine VersionClassification engine version with current/outdated indicator
CreatedWhen the topic was added to your library
tip

You can click any column header to sort the table by that column. Click again to reverse the sort direction.

Filtering

The Library provides 12 filter groups that let you narrow down your topics precisely. Filters are applied combinatorially -- selecting multiple filters across groups returns topics matching all criteria.

Using Filters

  1. Click the Filters button above the table to open the filter panel.
  2. Select values within one or more filter groups.
  3. The table updates immediately to show only matching topics.
  4. Active filters are shown as badges above the table. Click the X on any badge to remove that filter.
  5. Click Clear All to reset all filters at once.
info

Filters are cascading within the taxonomy hierarchy. Selecting a Taxonomy Type narrows the available Parent Category options to only those within that group.

Sorting and Pagination

Sorting

Click any column header to sort the table by that column. An arrow icon indicates the current sort direction (ascending or descending). Click the same header again to reverse the sort order.

You can sort by:

  • Topic name (alphabetical)
  • Taxonomy type
  • Parent category
  • Composite score (highest or lowest first)
  • Intensity level
  • Engine version
  • Created date (newest or oldest first)

Pagination

The table displays topics in pages. Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to:

  • Navigate to the next or previous page
  • Jump to a specific page number
  • Change the number of topics displayed per page

Topic Detail Panel

Click any topic row to open the topic detail panel on the right side of the screen. This panel has three tabs: Classification, DSP Names, and History.

Classification Tab

The Classification tab shows the complete 7-layer classification breakdown for the selected topic:

  • Intent Type -- Primary and secondary intent types with scores and color-coded badges
  • Intensity -- The intensity level with score bar visualization
  • Awareness Stage -- The Eugene Schwartz awareness stage with funnel position
  • Segment Type -- B2B/B2C/B2B2C/B2E/B2G badge
  • Sensitivity -- Standard or Sensitive flag with regulated category details
  • Buyer Journey -- Purchase Ready, Active Evaluation, or Research Discovery with score
  • Composite Score -- The 0--100 score with interpretation label (Hot Lead, Warm Prospect, etc.) and color-coded bar

Additional metadata displayed:

  • Taxonomy path -- Full hierarchy: Taxonomy Type > Parent Category > Subcategory
  • Audience Type -- The audience type derived from the parent category (e.g., "In-Market Buyers")
  • IAB Code -- The IAB content taxonomy code (e.g., "IAB19 -- Technology & Computing")
  • Engine Version -- Current version with outdated indicator if applicable
  • Keywords -- All keyword signals used in classification

If the topic has an outdated engine version, a reclassify banner appears at the top of the tab with options to reclassify using AI-powered or rule-based mode.

DSP Names Tab

The DSP Names tab displays the platform-ready segment names generated for this topic. Each platform format shows:

  • Platform name -- The complete hierarchical segment name formatted for that platform
  • Description -- The platform-specific description (character-limited per platform specs)

Built-in platform formats include:

PlatformDescription
Trade Desk (Koa)Formatted for The Trade Desk's Koa taxonomy marketplace
LiveRampFormatted for LiveRamp Data Marketplace
InternalYour organization's internal naming convention

If your administrator has configured custom output templates, additional platform formats appear here. Output templates use configurable {{field}} placeholders and may include recency values, organization aliases, user behavior labels, and model process tags.

History Tab (Audit Trail)

The History tab shows a complete audit trail of all changes to this topic since it was added to your library. Each entry includes:

  • Change type -- Color-coded badge indicating what happened (created, reclassified, imported, synced, metadata updated, activated, deactivated)
  • Timestamp -- When the change occurred
  • Source -- What triggered the change (user action, import, sync, admin operation)
  • Field-level diffs -- For updates, a before/after comparison of each changed field

The history is ordered newest-first and displays up to 200 entries. This provides a complete provenance record for compliance and audit purposes.

Bulk Actions

Select one or more topics using the checkboxes in the table to reveal the bulk action bar at the top of the table. Available bulk actions:

Reclassify Selected

Runs the classification engine on all selected topics. A modal appears where you choose:

  • AI-Powered -- Uses Claude Sonnet 4.6. Optional web search toggle (disabling reduces cost by ~50%). Maximum 100 topics per batch.
  • Rule-Based -- Deterministic local classification. No cost. Maximum 500 topics per batch.

The modal shows an estimated cost for AI-powered reclassification before you confirm.

warning

Reclassification overwrites the existing classification for each topic. The previous classification is preserved in the topic's History tab for audit purposes.

Delete Selected

Permanently removes the selected topics from your organization's library. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion proceeds. This action cannot be undone.

warning

Deleting a topic from your library does not delete it from the global catalog. If the topic exists in the global catalog, it can be re-added to your library later.

Export to CSV

Exports the selected topics (or all filtered topics if none are selected) to a CSV file. The export includes:

  • Topic name
  • Full taxonomy path (Taxonomy Type, Parent Category, Subcategory levels)
  • All 7 classification layers
  • DSP segment names for all configured platforms
  • Metadata (engine version, created date, external ID)
  • Keywords

The CSV is downloaded directly to your browser.

Engine Version Indicators

Each topic in the Library table shows its engine version with a visual indicator:

  • Current (green badge) -- The topic was classified with the latest engine version. No action needed.
  • Outdated (amber badge) -- The topic was classified with an older engine version. Classification logic has changed since this topic was processed, and results may differ if reclassified.

Finding Outdated Topics

Use the Engine Version filter to quickly isolate outdated topics:

  1. Open the filter panel.
  2. Under the engine version section, select Outdated.
  3. The table now shows only topics that may benefit from reclassification.

You can then select all visible topics and use the Reclassify Selected bulk action to update them.

Performance Scoring

Topics may include performance scoring data that reflects how well the audience segment performs in real advertising campaigns. Performance data is tracked when segments are activated through DSP connections and delivery events are recorded.

Performance indicators help you:

  • Identify high-performing segments for reuse in future campaigns
  • Spot underperforming segments that may need refinement
  • Compare performance across taxonomy categories
info

Performance data is populated through platform connections and activation tracking. New topics without activation history will not have performance scores until they are deployed in campaigns.
